Early Years
Indian Springs sits adjacent to a well known turn of the century ranch called the "69 Ranch." In the late 19th century the area began to draw ranchers and settlers alike as cattle grazing and logging were becoming an increasingly important part of American West's economy. The early settlers to the area noted the relatively mild climate and the local strains of tobacco being grown by the native population, thus naming the area the Tobacco Valley.
A mountain valley oasis
In the mid 2000's Montana drew the likes of developer Schickedanz West, who immediately saw promise and the Tobacco Valley's potential to develop a beautiful and charming golf course and community. Having built several golf course projects in Canada, Indian Springs posed the perfect opportunity for Schickedanz West to showcase the spectacular setting that is Eureka Montana.
